Tell us about your career and how it all started?

My career began with the belief that I would rule the world, I just didn't know in what way until I was introduced to entrepreneurship. I'm a serial entrepreneur who started her first fashion-tech company in college. After my first venture failed, I was introduced to one of my future co-founders, we later built a multi-million dollar fashion-tech company that raised close to $3M from investors at the time and is still growing. After a series of events and feeling like I lost my sense of purpose, I resigned from that company, move to NYC, and started Get Sh!t Done, a platform matching helping female founders with the resources they need in order to grow towards their desired destination. Whether a founder is looking to scale quickly or grow slow, our mission is to make sure she gains access to the tools she needs while growing on her terms. I'm also a keynote speaker and business strategy coach for female founders.

What does sisterhood mean to you?

I believe Maya Angelou said it best: "I come as 1 but I stand for 10,000" Sisterhood is standing for other women as you fight and win battles. When you rise, you make sure others rise with you.

What's your personal mantra? There's nothing that can get in my way except me.

What's your superpower: I empower people to empower themselves.

Tell us about women who inspired you and your role models:

The OG of female entrepreneurship, Madame CJ Walker, Lisa Price, Sandy Lerner, Rihanna, Oprah, Michelle Obama, Bozoma St. John, Martha Stewart. Last but certainly not least, my matriarchs who stood for me and gave me the courage to pave my path, my mama Casandra Batdorf and grandma Gennell Davis-Sam.

Advice to women in my industry:

Stop trying to prove yourself to everyone. You're already good enough. If you continue to wait to grasp opportunities until you "believe" you're prepared, you'll never get what you want. Believe that you're good enough now, even if you feel you may not be prepared, but if it excites you, go get what's yours.

One piece of advice for your 18-year-old self:

Keep believing you'll rule the world, you're almost there.
