Tell us about your career and how it all started?

Squish Marshmallows started from a food blog I was writing. I made marshmallows one day, and started experimenting with different flavors, and figured, I’d like to see if I could sell them! I started with an online shop, and doing local markets and food fairs, 5 years ago, and a little over 2 years ago, opened a shop in the East Village, NYC. I’m also a voice over artist, and recording a new podcast, so, I enjoy having a few things going on at a time!

What does sisterhood mean to you?

Community. I really think it just means having each other’s backs, looking out for one another, and taking care of the community at large.

What's your personal mantra?

Be the tortoise, not the hare.

What is your superpower?

Adapting and teaching myself new skill sets.

Tell us about women that inspired you and your female role models:

My mom! She’s the number one superhero and role model that I know. Aside from her, my other female friends. They’re strong, inspiring, and supportive.

What would be your advice for women who are building careers in your industry?

Stay strong, keep positive, be authentic, and always willing to learn more.

One piece of advice for your 18 year old self?

Things are not going to turn out like you thought, and that’s not a bad thing.
